Vanilla Cake

One of the most loved cakes in Indian household, Vanilla cake has many takers. Loved and feasted by across different age groups, below given steps can make a master at this:


  • 1.5 cup milk
  • 1 tsp White vinegar
  • ½ cup Powder sugar
  • ½ cup refined oil
  • 1 cup Maida
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Vanilla essence

How to Prepare:

  • Take a cake tin, put butter paper on it and grease it with oil or butter
  • Pre-heat a pan with Salt along with a steel stand in it, for 10 mins
  • Prepare a batter. Steps are :
    • – Take 1 cup of milk and add 1tsp white vinegar in it
    • –   Rest it for 10 mins
  • Prepare Cake Tin and Pan
  • Take ½ cup powder sugar
  • Add ½ cup refined oil. Mix it well
  • Add 1 cup Maida
  • Add ½ cup baking powder
  • Add ½ cup baking soda
  • Filter it well to make sure that there are no humps
  • Add to the mixture and mix it evenly
  • Add the mixture of 1 cup milk and Vinegar
  • Add ½ cup more milk. Whisk it well and check the consistency
  • Add ½ tsp Vanilla essence. NOW YOU BATTER IS READY
  • Transfer this batter to the Cake Tin. Tap it to make the bubbles disappear
  • Put the Cake tin into the pre-heated pan with salt and cover it
  • Bake it for 30-45 mins on medium to high flame
  • Check in between and YOUR CAKE is ready!
