Luchai and Aaloo is sabzi is a quick to make and ready to eat breakfast dish.


  • 2 cups maida
  • ¼ cup Sooji
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup Dahi
  • 3 tsp oil/ghee
  • Mix all the above ingredients with water bit by bit and prepare a soft dough
  • Keep it aside and rest it for 30 mins

Ingredients for Aaloo Sabzi:

  • 2 potatoes cut in small cubes
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 3 green chillies chopped
  • Some chopped ginger
  • 4 tbsp mustard oil
  • ½ tsp whole Cumin
  • ½ tsp Jeera powder
  • ½ tsp Kashmiri red powder
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi
  • Salt to taste

Steps to prepare:

  • Take a pan cooker and put tbsp mustard oil to heat it
  • Once heated, put whole cumin seeds and let it spatter
  • Add jeera powder
  • Add ½ tsp Kashmiri red powder
  • Add ½ tsp Chaat masala, ½ tsp turmeric
  • Add salt to taste and add water so that masala is not burnt
  • Mix it well and add green chilly, tomatoes, ginger to mix it well
  • Add 1 tbsp kasuri methi
  • Cook on high flame for few mins once masala has been roasted
  • Add chopped potatoes into it and cook for 2-3 min
  • Add 1 cup water and cover the pan/cooker lid
  • Mash the potatoes and your Sabzi is ready
  • Now take the dough and add some oil to knead it for smoothening
  • Make small balls of dough to prepare circular shapes like roti
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the Luchai on high flame until golden brown
  • Your Luchai is ready to be served with Aaloo ki Sabzi
