Bread Cheese Pocket

This is a popular snack recipe made with bread slices and cheese stuffing. It’s an ideal snack for kids and adults and can be served as starters or appetizers. It is sure to leave your taste buds watering.


1. 4 slices of bread
2. Grated cheese – 1 cup
3. Oil to fry


  1. Take a bread slice and cut all the sides
  2. Roll with the help of roller pin (belan ) like a chapati
  3.  Add 1 Tbsp of grated cheese/cheese cube
  4.  Moisten all the bread sides with water 
  5. Press one side of bread on another as shown to seal the edges 
  6. Take a kadhai put oil and heat it for frying ( fry on medium to high flame)
  7. Deep fry the bread pockets till golden brown
  8. And your delicious Bread cheese pockets are ready
  9. Serve with sauce and green chutney.

Some quick tips

  1. Use a white sandwich bread slices to get a golden brown finish when you deep fry it.
  2. In case you want to save some calories, this recipe can be baked { at 180 degree Celsius for 15-20 minutes) or shallow fried
  3. Lastly, before deep frying ensure to seal the bread pockets thoroughly with water or milk or it may burst out.
