FISH CURRY

Explore the exclusive taste of spices seeped into juicy fish pieces. This curry is a delectable option to prepare for the next dinner party or regular meal, paired with steamed rice.

INGREDIENTS

For Fry :-

  • 1 kg Catfish (Magur)
  • 1 Onion roughly chopped
  • 1 Tomato roughly chopped
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 1 Garlic
  • 1 Tsp. Whole Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp. Yellow Mustard
  • 25 Whole Black Pepper
  • 1 Tsp. Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Garam Masala Powder 2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
  • Oil for Fry

For Curry:-

  • 1 Cup Sarso Oil
  • 1/4 Tsp. Fenugreek seeds (Methi)
  • 1 Tsp. Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
  • Some Coriander Leaves

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wash fish nicely
  2. Add all the dry masalas including 1 onion, 1 tomato, garlic and green chilly to a blender
  3. Blend it to a thick paste and use half paste to marinate the fish
  4. Add 1 tsp red chilly powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp Haldi powder, 1 tsp salt and mix well
  5. Heat pan with oil
  6. Fry fish on medium flame till golden colour
  7. Remove it from oil, once fried

For gravy

  1. Add one cup mustard oil in the pan and heat it
  2. Add ¼ tsp Kasuri methi and add the remaining paste
  3. Add some water
  4. Add 1tsp red Chilly powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp Haldi and mix well
  5. Cover the masala and cook on high flame till oil separates
  6. Add water and bring it to boil
  7. Add fish to it
  8. Cover it and cook on high flame for 7 mnts.
  9. Add some chopped coriander
  10. And your fish curry is ready to serve
