CHILLY CHICKEN WITH GRAVY

Chilli Chicken with Gravy is an iconic Indo-Chinese dish which is crazily popular in the different subcontinents of Asia. This salivating dish is mostly accompanied with Fried Rice or Chow Mein

INGREDIENTS

  • 400gm Chicken
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornflour
  • 2 Tsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Tsp. Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. All Purpose Flour

Gravy:-

  • 1 Onion Medium Size
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 3 Green Chilies
  • Some Ginger Sliced
  • 8-10 Garlic Chopped
  • Oil for Fry
  • 2 Tbsp. Cornflour
  • 4 Tbsp. Oil
  • 4 Tbsp. Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Hot & Sweet Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp. Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Firstly, Marinate the chicken with egg, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste,1/2 tsp black pepper ½ tsp salt, 3 tbsp corn flour, 2 tsp soya sauce, ½ tsp vinegar, 1 tbsp  all-purpose flour and mix well
  2. Rest it for half an hour
  3.  Heat oil in a pan to fry the chicken
  4. Deep fry on medium to high flame

For gravy

  • Add some water to a bowl and 2 tbsp corn flour
  • In a pan heat 4 tbsp oil and add garlic, green chilly and ginger, cook till read
  • Then add capsicum and onion
  • Fry on medium flame for some time
  • Add 4 tbsp tomato sauce, 2 tbsp hot and sour sauce, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 tbsp soya sauce, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder and mix well
  • Cook on medium flame and add corn flour mixture while stirring continuously
  • Cook on high flame for 2 mnts
  • Add water and boil then add fried chicken, 
  • Cover and cook on low flame for 2 minutes
  • Ready to serve
