HOMEMADE KURKURE RECIPE

Crispy and crunchyKurkure is a light snack loved by people of all ages, ranging from kids, adults and the elderly. And when Kurkure can be made at home, it is much healthier and doubles the joy.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Rice Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Gram Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. All Purpose Flour
  • 1-2 Pinch Baking Soda
  • 2 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp. Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 Tsp. Chaat Masala
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • Oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a pan, Mix one cup of rice flour with 1 Tbsp of besan, Gram flour , 1Tbsp all purpoe flour (maida), 12 pinch baing soda
  2. Add double amount of water – 2 cups here
  3. Mix it well to ensure no lumps are formed
  4. Add ½ tbsp. salt
  5. Cook on medium to low flame
  6. Stir continuously till dry
  7. Cover it and cook on low flame for 1 mnt.
  8. The dough is now ready
  9. Remove from stove and let it cool
  10. Moisten your palm with oil and roll theh dough in Kurkure shape
  11. Heat oil in a pan. And put kurkure in it when oil is ready
  12. Fry on medium flame till golden brown
  13. Remove it and add ½ tbsp. Kashmiri red ChilliPowder , ½ tbsp. chat masala, ½ tbsp. salt. Mix it well.
  14. Ready to serve

Some quick tips

  1. Instead of deep frying Kurkure can also be baked
  2. Transfer them to container only once when they are cold
  3. They can be stored upto one month in an air tight container
